The board of directors of the Greater South Loop Association received nominating petitions for the board of directors and held its annual election on Saturday, October 7, 2017.
From Cristina Hall, incoming President:
As the incoming President of the Greater South Loop Association, I’d like to offer a HUGE thank you to Deb Soehlig, our outgoing President for her years of outstanding service as Vice President and President. It is an honor to follow in the footsteps of someone who cares so passionately about our community and our association. Thank you Deb!

- Josh Ellis (returning) was appointed to fill a one year vacancy

- Daniel Natale (Treasurer)
- Brian Murphy (Vice President)
I’d also like to thank Jeanette Johnson for her many years of service to the GSLA and the South Loop Community. Jeanette has been instrumental in establishing a variety of programming, leading our communication strategy through the years, and is a past President. Sarah Cardona also did not rejoin the board and we thank her for her contributions as an officer. Thanks to each of you for your continued support.
Thank you to all of my fellow board members who give of their time in order to continue the growth of our neighborhood. I look forward to the upcoming year as we continue to bring neighbors together to make the South Loop a vibrant, diverse community that remains a neighborhood of choice in Chicago.
