Chicagoans are very fortunate to experience a winter that has it all – cold temps, biting wind chills, freezing rain, and of course, snow. And speaking of snow, now is a good time to remind everyone to clear their sidewalks after it snows. Doing so is part of being a good neighbor, and helps all of us get around more easily and safely, especially those with little ones or a physical challenge. For more details, have a look at the City’s brochure, which outlines snow removal requirements:
If there are buildings where the snow if not routinely cleared, the building can be reported by dialing 311 and making a “snow – uncleared sidewalk” report, using the specific building address.
Thank you for being part of the South Loop and making contributions when and where you can!
